PGM has been taking big steps to achieve the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) accessibility standard of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA, although our goal is eventually to meet level AAA.
Below, we will outline what we have done so far, and where we are in the journey to achieve that goal.

This website is designed to be fully compatible with all major browser versions released in the past five years.
We have tested the site for accessibility on:

Key Improvements Completed
We have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility of this website:
- Improved Content Structure: Fixed heading and content hierarchy, image use, and added alt text to all non-decorative images for better screen reader compatibility.
- Accessible Reading Level: Edited content to be more conducive to persons with reading disabilities, using supplementary content to aid comprehension.
- More Accessible Colors: Increased color contrast and updated color palette for easier viewing.
- User Navigation: Fixed broken links and streamlined page flow, particularly for actions like donating or joining the community.
- Mobile & Desktop Responsiveness: Fixed layout and spacing issues to ensure viewability and usability across devices.
- Team Training: Both developers and content creators received training in accessible design and inclusive writing.
Next Steps
- Streamline Messaging: Clarify messaging on each page for easier page comprehension
- Simplify Header Navigation: Consolidate top-level menu items, reduce redundancy, and improve page organization.
- Language Accessibility: We hope to be able to embark on language accessibility once we have raised funding for this.
