Payal brings over a decade and a half of expertise in advancing gender equality, advocating for racial equity, and empowering marginalized and underrepresented communities in India and Hong Kong. She has dedicated her career to supporting groups such as women, disadvantaged youth, ethnic minorities, migrant domestic workers, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. A strong proponent of community-led initiatives, Payal believes that communities are best positioned to address their own challenges and should have a voice in the solutions implemented. Her commitment to ensuring marginalized voices are heard drives her advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), moving beyond tokenism to foster genuine respect and engagement. Currently, Payal is the Head of Program (Fellowship) at Resolve Foundation, a local nonprofit in Hong Kong, where she oversees the Fellowship program which empowers diverse changemakers and strengthens their capacity to drive inclusive changes. She pioneered Hong Kong’s first PGM model by transforming Resolve’s Opportunity Fund seed fund into this innovative approach, sparking interest within the local philanthropic sector. Payal is dedicated to advancing participatory approaches in Hong Kong, furthering her mission to empower communities.
